Connecticut Socialist Announces Candidacy for U.S. House of Representatives

This afternoon at 3:30 pm, Connecticut Socialist candidate Chris Hutchinson will announce his campaign for the US House of Representatives in Connecticut's first district at The CT Works Center at 3580 Main Street in Hartford.

Thousands of workers are competing for fewer jobs, education funding is being slashed, health care costs skyrocket, trillions are spent on wars that terrorize the world community.

Outraged by these attacks on their lives and the lives of their families and communities, Hutchinson and other Connecticut residents will speak out in defense of working people and advocate a socialist vision for the future.

"Despite the multi-trillion dollar bailout of the country's largest banks, the condition of working people continues to deteriorate at a break-neck pace," says Hutchinson, "We have chosen the CT Works Center to demand an emergency mass public works program and the elimination of forced unemployment. We call for the provision of free health care, quality public education for all for life. Bring all the troops home now and close all U.S. military bases."

Hutchinson believes that many figures of the establishment "fear the birth of a society that puts human need before profit."

Socialist? Sounds like just another Obummer Democrat to me. Free everything for everybody is the way to go. Maybe China will pay the bill?
