Congressional candidate Greenberg 'appalled' by House passage of health care

Mark Greenberg, Republican candidate for Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District, on Monday issued the following statement on the Democrat’s Health Care Vote:

“I am appalled at the arrogance of the Democrats’ House vote. Make no mistake about it, this is a government takeover of our health care system," Greenberg said in a written statement. (U.S. Rep.) Chris Murphy and his Career Politician Caucus have failed to listen to the American people. The last major overhaul of our health care system was Medicare in the 60s which included bipartisan support of 70 Republicans. This was passed with bi-partisan opposition.”

“When I am elected to Congress, I will fight to repeal this disastrous piece of legislation. We can find ways to lower the cost of heath care without government intervention. You don’t tear down the whole house to repair the kitchen floor.”

“This trillion dollar, job-killing piece of legislation endangers our children and grandchildren, and will saddle them with a debt that they can never repay.”

“One has to wonder what is next? The Obama –Murphy agenda has us clearly on the path to European socialism,” Greenberg said.
